work!), which was followed by a night out on the town. Saturday and Sunday I relaxed. It felt so good to not have plans and take it easy for once, and to work on more content for the blog of course! I feel like I haven't done a fashion post for awhile, so here you go!
Velvet Love
I got this studded-pleather skirt (similar) not too long ago for my Cali trip. I love how edgy and fun it is! I think it's perfect for a night out on the town or maybe even for a summer festival. I paired it with one of my favorite shirts I own (and one of the best steals I've ever found), a bohemian-print Free People shirt (similar). I'm also wearing another crescent moon necklace, which you can read about here. Sticking with the bohemian-edgy style, I'm wearing my go-to black booties and black felt hat (similar).
This is another outfit that I won't really be able to give you guy a lot of details on, but isn't it adorable!? This 80s skirt was thrifted from Dear Society, a vintage shop in Kansas City. All of their vintage clothing was is such amazing shape and they had the cutest selection. To mix it up, I wore these Jessica Simpson gold sequin heels (which I actually got for NYE but couldn't wear due to the -30 wind chill). I found these on sale for around $25 at the Von Maur vault - talk about an amazing score right before NYE. The t-shirt I'm wearing is a Blind Pilot concert tee. They opened up for my always favorite Gregory Alan Isakov when he was in Des Moines last August. I love playing around with tees. I feel like you can wear them with almost anything by just tying them up to look a little more fitted.

Hey guys! This past weekend I took it (fairly) easy. Friday night I went to a friend's photography gallery (check out his amazing
Velvet Love
I absolutely love this skirt for many reasons: the chartreuse color (that sometimes can look gold or green), the pleated detail, the length, the soft velvet material - oh, and the fact that it was only $23 from Amazon! I feel like you can dress this down or glam it up - it's really versatile. For this post, I had to pair it with these bohemian-inspired loafers from Target. These shoes are the perfect accessory to the solid skirt and simple black fitted shirt (similar). To keep the bohemian theme going, I'm wearing oversized hoops (similar) and a crescent moon necklace, also from Target. Here I'm rocking this look with big wavy curls, but I think a simple top knot would be super cute too.
Vintage Sweater Set
I wish I could give you guys more details about this sweater set, but it's actually thrifted! Surprisingly, I found this gem at a Salvation Army. I love the old-school look with the high neck, bow details, and ribbed skirt. When I saw it I knew I wanted to get it, but wasn't sure where I'd wear it. Let's be real though, it was only $6 so I went ahead and got it! I paired it with my MIA clogs, which you can get details on here. I think this outfit speaks for itself, so I didn't wear any jewelry, but you could pair it with some simple classic studs.
