21-Day Fitness Challenge: Day 14

Today we were brave. We decided to go on a run in the stagnant, humid, hot air. Let's just say we were drenched with sweat by the end of it. It would have been better if we had done it early in the morning, but I'm on vaca and we wanted to sleep in!

We ended up running around 10:30 a.m. Took the winding roads about a mile out, turned around and came a mile back. Total we ran two miles and then we walked a .25-mile loop to cool down.

And fun fact, my friend and I grew up together and have been friends forever — I can't tell you how many people asked us that this weekend. We ran cross country and track together and did swim team together. But besides being friends first and getting along really well, we always had so much in common with sports, which, I think, makes a friendship even more effortless.

In the end, our run wasn't super long, but I don't think we could have gone much farther with how hot it was outside. Oh, and not to mention... I'm a little sunburned. So, I felt extra hot out there!
