21-Day Fitness Challenge: Day 8

Yesterday I went to Totally Fit, which is the same class I went to last Monday. Because I find Mondays hard, I always choose to go to a workout class where I don't have to come up with the workout. I also love it for Mondays because there's motivation from the instructor and other people in the class.

Like usual, the instructor asked if anyone had suggestions. I mentioned trying TRX because I've never done it before. And so that's what we did!

We did 30, 60, 90 second intervals. For each set, choose two exercises to alternate. You'll do the first one for 30 seconds, then the second one for 30 seconds. Then you move into doing both for 60 seconds, then 90 seconds.

Let me tell you ... 90 seconds is brutal.

Here's what we paired together for each set:

Jump Squats + Pushups

Hamstring Pull-Ins + Plank

Speed Skaters + Tricep Extensions

If you're wondering, the instructor said this is the best type of tricep workout you can do. I believe her because it made me more sore than any other tricep workout I've ever done! My back and hamstrings are also sore. It was tough, but I think I like TRX!
