Prague City Guide

Hey, guys!
If you read my previous post, you’ll know how in love I am with Prague. Not only did the beautiful architecture and whimsical, winding streets give me all the feels, the food and tours pulled me in, too. Below is a guide that includes everything we did and saw, where we ate, and where we stayed, as well as a few things we didn’t get to do that I really wish we would have.

STAY

When deciding what area in Prague to stay, I consulted everyone I knew that had been there before. I was told that any place in or near Old Town Square is where you want to be. After doing some of my own research, and knowing I wanted to stay in an Airbnb, I decided on Prague Castle Apartments. It's not in Old Town Square, but it's very close. I love where we stayed!

Why I enjoyed it so much:
- The hosts were friendly, helpful, and easy to get ahold of and communicate with.
- It's a short walking distance to all of the major touristy sites.
- It's tucked away on a quiet, quant hill.
- We had all the amenities we needed, including a washer.
- And lastly, it was a great price!

EAT & DRINK

Finding places to go was easy because our Airbnb hosts had a handy little book they created with tons of visitor tips, including restaurants they would recommend.
- Mistral
- Vinohradsty Parliament
- Malostransky Hostinec
- Riegrovy Sady Beer Garden
- Trdlo
- San Carlo Mala Strana
- Aromi Ristorante & Bistro

SITES

Everything in Prague is beautiful, so you can’t go wrong with anything you choose to do. Prague Old Car was something we decided to do last minute, and maybe other people have had better experiences with it, but I wouldn’t recommend it. We got stuck in traffic and didn’t get to see all of the things that were listed as part of the tour. It was also really hot the day we did it and we stopped in the sun multiple times. Perhaps it would be more enjoyable in cooler weather. I would definitely recommend the other things we did, though!
- Charles Bridge
- Prague Castle
- St. Vitus Cathedral
- Old Town Square
- Prague Old Car driving tour

OTHER THINGS TO DO

Above, I mentioned that there were a few things we didn’t do that I wish we had. Make your list as big as you want but realize that you might not be able to cross everything off. When you’re only in a city for a couple of days, there’s just no way to see it all. If I ever get the chance to go back, these are things I’d definitely do!
- Canal tour by boat
- Kutna Hora day trip outside of the city
- Prague Astronomical Clock (this was closed while we were there)
- Old Jewish Cemetery

My next travel post will be about my time in Copenhagen, so stay tuned!

xoxo
