Galentine's Day Staycation

Galentine's Day Staycation

This post was sponsored by CSM Corporation/Country Inn & Suites, Des Moines, but all opinions are my own.

Valentine's Day is a great reason to show appreciation to all of the special people in your life, so of course I needed to celebrate with some of my favorite gals! A staycation is great way to celebrate any sort of occasion — and it's inexpensive. So, three of my best friends and I stayed overnight at the Country Inn & Suites in Clive for something a little different. Three of us live downtown and the other lives in West Des Moines, so it was nice to venture to a different area of the city.

When we got there, we checked in and decided to have some wine in the adorable lobby before getting ready for the night. The hotel is right next to the delicious Mexican restaurant El Rodeo, so that's what we had planned for dinner. By the way, isn't this lobby so cute!?

Getting ready, jamming out to music is one of my favorite parts of girls nights — sing, be silly, and catch up with each other. (Shoutout to Bailey for making the Galentine's Day playlist!) And I love doing my makeup and hair (weird, I know) so that's always fun for a night out. And of course I had to find a cute festive tee to wear for the night! And my favorite leopard pants are perfect for any fun night out.

After getting ready and sipping on some wine, we walked over to El Rodeo for dinner and margs. After dinner, we headed to the West Glen area in West Des Moines to go out to a few bars.

The next morning, we got up for a delicious breakfast and coffee. There were donuts, pancakes, waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy, basically every yummy kind of breakfast food you could think of! After breakfast, we went to the pool to hang out and enjoy the hot tub (best hangover cure!) Then after that we went back up to our room and threw on our robes to relax a little longer before we had to check out.

Overall, our staycation was super fun! It was a great way to relax, unwind, and spend quality time celebrating special women in my life. The hotel was nice, accommodating, and in a great location — super convenient to everythingrestaurants, bars, shopping, etc. So don't forget to show some love to everyone who is special to you this Valentine's Day!
