Save the Dates with Basic Invite

Save the Dates with Basic Invite

This post was sponsored by Basic Invite but all opinions are my own.

Another step complete — our save the dates have officially been mailed out! I've learned that it's all about small accomplishments when it comes to wedding planning. If you try to take on too much at once, or think too often about everything you have to do, you'll have mental breakdowns weekly. Or at least that's how I have felt!

When people say wedding planning is stressful, they really aren't joking. I try not to put too much pressure on myself, but somehow it all still feels overwhelming. The time it takes to email and call vendors and search online is ridiculous — it feels like it could be a second job! OK, but I really don't want to complain too much, I just needed a little vent session.

Thankfully, for my save the dates, I found Basic Invite.

When you find a site that makes your wedding planning life easier, you tell everyone you know. I looked around at a couple different sites, but I found a design I really loved at Basic Invite — and they made the process super smooth and easy. I was searching for magnet wedding save the dates in particular, which was available in the design I liked.

And let me tell you, picking a design was a stressful decision in itself! Basic Invite had so many great designs and options to choose from, including magnet save the dates, wood save the dates, postcard save the dates, foil save the dates, and really cool vinyl save the dates that come in a clear or frosted finish.

And just when you thought choosing a design was the best part, Basic Invite surprises and delights with over 180 different color options! When you choose a color, it instantly previews online so you can see exactly how it will look with your photo and text. I will say that the color online is pretty spot on with what I received in the mail. But, if you would rather see it in person first, you can order a printed sample of your save the date.

And once you've nailed down the perfect color for your save the date, Basic Invite has over 40 different colors of envelopes to choose from. Another great thing Basic Invite offers is over 900 wedding invitation sets. Some of the sets even come with a free matching wedding website.

I thought my save the dates came fairly fast, in about a week or so after I ordered them. They came in a cute little box with a fun message. I would definitely recommend ordering more than you need (I know, that's probably obvious). Even if there aren't any printing errors, it's possible to accidentally mark up or scratch a card, or even mess up when addressing envelopes. Or maybe you and your spouse (or just your spouse) are indecisive and you want to add a few more people to the invite list last minute. Regardless, always order more than you need!

Look at my cute "I'm getting meowied mug" my friends got me!!
If you're looking to add more special touches to your special day, you can order custom wedding favor photo coasters for your guests. Find one that matches your invite suite, or have fun and mix it up! After all, they have over 90 designs to choose from. And if you don't think your guests would want a coaster with your names or wedding date on it, opt for a fun quote or beautiful, generic design instead. Websites like Basic Invite really allow you to use your imagination and creativity.

If you're wedding planning and need save the dates, invites, or any wedding stationary, you should definitely check out Basic Invite. They also do stationary for baby showers, graduations, birthdays, really any event you can think of, as well as business cards. I mean, look how fun our save the dates are! If you know Tad at all, you'll know they definitely reflect his personality, too, which was important to me when choosing a design.

I'm going to do my best keeping you guys updated with wedding planning and how everything is going, but like I said above, it's a big time commitment. So if I'm a little less active on here and my social media, just know I'm trying to plan the most kick-ass wedding ever!

xoxo
